They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and they may be right! Here you can find a list of our top 5 breakfast places in Kraków.
5. Ranny Ptaszek, Kazimierz, Augustianska 5
Typical breakfast place, huge menu, truly delicious food! From traditional polish scrambled eggs, tasty shakshuka with feta cheese and a variety of sandwiches to burger and bowls, because why not to have a burger for breakfast?
What we love about its menu is a choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. What we love about this place is that they serve breakfasts all day.
4. Café Manggha, ul. Marii Konopnickiej 26
It is definitely the breakfast with the best view in town. What we love about it, it’s its location in the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.
Who would have thought it would be great to feed in a museum café? If you into Japanese art and a foodie, well. This place has been created for you! Cafe Manggha doesn’t have a huge menu, but everything is really tasty. Must try their tea and matcha desserts. And everything with this view!
3. Alchemia od kuchni, Kazimierz, ul. Estery 5
If you’re a person who likes traditional poached eggs or American sweet pancakes, this is a place for you. Located in the heart of Kazimierz, Alchemia od Kuchni mastered the breakfasts in the traditional meaning. Here you will find the best benedict eggs in town, fluffy pancakes and amazing hot oatmeal bowl.
2. Handelek, Old town, ul. Sw. Filipa 16/2
This place is quite unique, is not only a truly ‘cracovian’ place, is the whole concept of local, healthy, organic, wonderful food and ambience. They managed to combine polish (Krakow’s!) traditions of breakfast bazaars from XIX century and modern, vibrant food trends.
As in every place we recommend their food is wonderful. What we love about them is their bread – freshly baked, rich in taste. Is one of the places you can really “taste” Kraków – from typical ‘chałka’ to ‘maczanka’. In the times of covid, they started breakfast delivery, so you can also enjoy it at home!
1. Wesoła Cafe, near Bus station, ul. Rakowicka 17
And the winner is Wesoła Cafe! Why? It’s simple, what would be breakfast without a coffee? They have the best coffee in the whole town! Their motto is “Better to drink coffee than not” (pol. Lepiej pić kawę niż nie) is all over the place. Literally!
Combined with tasty menu breakfast served all day long, friendly staff and vegan(!) desserts, Wesola is our perfect spot, we could sit there all day long and simply enjoy it!
Hungry now?! Let’s eat some food!
